Jody
and the Trouble Brothers are a three-piece sequence-driven variety dance band
based in Orlando... and the former house band of the legendary Langford Hotel
in Winter Park, Florida.
They
performed in the lounge at the Langford every week from the fall of 1995 until
the hotel closed in the Summer of 2000. Since then they've been playing
at various venues all over Central Florida, and are always available for
private functions & nightclub gigs.
The
band actually began in 1994 as Trace and the Trouble Brothers, featuring lead
vocalist Traci Maclaine; sax man, keyboardist & vocalist Gil Dhennin;
and
guitarist/vocalist Gary Usinger.
Trace
decided to leave the band and focus more on family life in 1997, and was
replaced by singer Ellie Sedell. Ellie's stay with the band was brief, and she
moved on about a year later.
At
that point, Jody took her place, and has been with the band ever since!
Gary,
Gil & Jody all have individual side projects that occasionally conflict
with JTTB's schedule, so Trace sometimes comes back & fills in for Jody,
while Gary shares
the
guitar spot with Paul Caston.
Gary,
Gil & Jody have also worked as duos in every conceivable pairing when necessary.
It
sometimes gets a little hard to keep track of, but the band never disappoints!
